Walk Around the Pond
"Walk Around the Pond" 6" x 6" Oil on hardboard
The leaves are turning and tumbling in Chicago's Morton Arboretum, near where I live. They are bright in the sunlight, and washed clean from the rain we had earlier in the week. A nippy breeze made the pond sparkle as I walked around the perimeter with lots of other people.
I'm fortunate to have the ability and the passion to paint every day. Daily painting hones my skills as an artist, quiets the ruckus in my creative soul and is beginning to generate a following of lookers and customers, alike. I paint primarily in oil, but will satisfy longings with acrylic and my first love, watercolor. I do small paintings in order to keep up with daily posting, but nearly always have a large piece on the easel, as well. I'm a disciplined painter with hopes of finding a few more gallery affiliations to broaden my horizons and my customer base.
