"Taste and See" 12" x 12" Acrylic on canvas panel |
I read recently that some people can taste color. "No way," you say, but it's true. It happens by way of a neurological condition in which there is a "union of the senses" called Synesthesia. Imagine the sensory delights one could experience in a painting such as this!
Please enjoy another in my knife series of garden paintings.

I LOVE this painting. I wish I could get a garden to look like this!
ReplyDeleteI love the vibrancy of this painting. Seems like it would be a real feast for someone who could taste color.
ReplyDeleteWe have a friend who sees sound as color, and so tunes a stringed instrument until it's the right shade.
Thank you Kat! The person I read about could discern the colors of M&Ms, without fail, by tasting them. It fascinated me and made me paint color with wild abandon.
