Storm Cloud

"Storm Cloud"
5" x 7"
Oil on canvas panel
The rosy color of evening drained from the sky as a storm passed through. It came out of nowhere, and toppled a small vessel that was in its path. Then as quickly as it brewed, it was over.

I'm drained tonight. This is painted in ivory black with enough foundation white to smear the black into a storm.

Passing Storm

"Passing Storm"
6" x 6"
Oil on panel
Just when you think the sky couldn't possibly lose its clarity, a storm cloud builds; lightning stabs the tender places and thunder stomps its feet. Fortunately, it's a passing storm, one that will make the blue sky all that more welcome.

I'm painting a large gerbera daisy that just doesn't want to be finished, so I will post this to hold your interest, in the meantime.

Sandy

"Sandy"
6" x 6"
Oil on hardboard
I heard that a storm was walloping  the east coast of my country, so I decided to turn on the TV to see what was going on. I do not watch television, yet, I began to list all the people I know on that coast, and thought I should be cognizant of their peril. I offer my prayers for your safety in Connecticut, Maryland, New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. You know who you are.

Love to you,
Carol
